| An implement of the Greek god Hermes, the Caduceus was a wing-topped staff with two snakes spiraled around the main shaft. It is now identified with the symbol of healing because it was capable of entertaining observers with amazing aerial acrobatics and therefore curing injured minds. This beautiful work is constructed of Laudenslager's signature materials: stainless steel and titanium. It is currently exhibited on a 30-inch steel base (not included in the overall dimensions). |
