Sculpturesite Gallery is pleased to announce the release of the latest video in the series Inside the Sculptor’s Studio, featuring sculptor Richard Erdman at work at his dual studios in Vermont and Carrara, Italy!
Sculpturesite owners Brigitte Micmacker and John Denning recently interviewed Erdman at his Vermont studio and took a closer look at the processes behind his stunning stone sculptures and elegant bronze editions. The resulting video was edited by Scott Saraceno, and features additional footage of Erdman's second studio in Carrara, Italy, courtesy of Richard Erdman Studios and Amanda Zackem, and a look back at Erdman's monumental commission for The PepsiCo Sculpture Gardens, courtesy of Albert Van der Wildt.
The mastery and spirit that Erdman's work exudes has created an enormous international following. His work has been shown in more than 160 solo and group exhibitions throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He has also been commissioned to create over 120 works for museums, public, and corporate collections including The PepsiCo Sculpture Gardens in New York, the Four Seasons Park in Singapore, Princeton University in New Jersey, and most recently a Richard Meier building in Taipei. His work is held in collections in 52 countries worldwide for distinguished patrons such as Museum of Fine Art in Boston, The Rockefeller Collection in New York, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, King Faisal Foundation in Riyadh, and Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing.
